Just curious to know , how to register at these places, Pool, buydomains, snapnames.

In Pool, it says I need a credit card and they'd deduct 60 $ for validation. Others dont seem to have registration for new clients.

I'd welcome your thought/opinions.

BuyDomain is a private company I believe.

Doesnt Snapnames require any verification like a credit card?

Yes - snapnames will need your credit card details in order to pay for any names you win.

They will not charge you anything if they don't get the name for you.

I need to list my domains at all these places, wouldnt need to backorder them. I reckon for registration creditcard wouldnt be required.

Snapnames is only a expiring domain auction - you cannot place your own names there to be auctioned although this is something they are considering for the future.

You could try TDnam.com for listing your own domains for sale, I think there is a fee to join but you can put your names up for auction there.

BuyDomains have about 800,000 domains for sale but they are all owned by them.

What about POOL, do they really deduct 60 $ for registration ?

This is off their website - https://www.pool.com/CreateAccount.aspx

I take it the following is for placing a backorder with them.

"Please note that Pool.com will pre-authorize your credit card in the amount of US $60 to ensure that your credit card is valid. Your credit card will not actually be charged unless you purchase a product or service from Pool.com."

"Sell your domain(s) on Pool.com in an auction or fixed price format. Choose from a variety of listing options! Click here to learn how to sell a domain on Pool.com now!"

How much does it cost to sell a domain at Pool.com?

To sell a domain in the Domain Marketplace, you must pay an initial non-refundable listing fee, plus a commission in the event of a successful sale. Pool.com offers a variety of listing levels with corresponding marketing and promotional levels for your convenience. Upon the successful sale of your domain, Pool.com will retain a commission equal to 10% of the total sales price. Listing fees range from US $8-$20.
