This is an issue you guys probably discussed 10 years ago, but I'm relatively new to SEO and brand new to this forum, so I hope you'll indulge me.
I run a graphic design company's website that has solid rankings in the search engines. For years we've been building a portfolio of keyword rich domain names that relate to our business. Basically, for each keyword we use to advertise via Sponsored Ads on search engines, we bought the available domain names, as well. These domains are all parked right now generating PPC revenue, but we want to direct that traffic to our main site and maybe generate better rankings for our important keywords (which are directly represented in these additional domains).
I guess a 301 redirect is the way to go. But what about pointing them to our main site's IP address and giving our important keywords their own domain address and a landing page on our main site's homepage?
Would this lead to better rankings? A search engine ban? Any thoughts/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
