PNG transparacy in Internet Explorer

For some reason PNG images just show up as a grayish blue background instead of being transparent. Firefox shows fine.

I've never seen/had this issue before, anyone know what I did wrong?

i still need to know msie version?
there's a workaround btw, i hope that will work on your msie

Thanks, that seems to be one step closer - I tried the code but now all the images that contain transparency are invincible.
