Shouldn't your new host be taking care of this for you?

if you use CPANEL, then goto BACKUP and download your SQL database, then go to your new host and go to BACKUP and import your SQL database.....then copy files and update settings etc..

ps. im not yelling usin caps, its just there to point out :)

also if you ask your new host, im sure they will guide you threw this or they will do it for you :)

Most good hosting providers will happily transfer a site for a new customer.
You could google: "free site transfer" hosting

I could transfer it for you for free if need be. You can also go into phpmyadmin and go to export and then input the data back into your new hosts phpmyadmin.

For a database that size you will need to use ssh.. also if you backup your database then upload the backup .sql file then ask your host to restore it to a database they should do it. otherwise the only other choice is to use ssh.

login to admin centre > 'disable board'.

run a phpmyadmin database backup.

upload / files over to your new host.

make new database, upload sql file to phpmyadmin and insert.

edit config.php in the forum directory to reflect the your database's name/username/password
