Please someone Help!

Hi there im currently working on an online shop using shopfactory 5.8 iv tried 5.6 and 5.3 but still getting same problems the problem is every time i choose to publish site in shop factory it get so far then just stalls it works sometimes but not at all recently im just wondering if its possible to publish site another way e.g. publish on computer then upload using an FTP program hope someone can help me out any help would be appreciated.
