Please review my political debate forum.

I sold DemocracyForums.com a couple months ago and I have been sort of feeling like I need to still express myself politically. I bought a great domain name. Debateful.com and have just today finished the skin. The site is run off mybb (my favorite). There will be some bells and whistles still to be added to the site basically it's ready to go though. I am going to redo the forum structure, add rules, and work on the sidebar slightly.

Looks great. Even though the logo is about as simplistic as it can be, i think it's well done, especially through the color composition.
Adsense is there,...but then again, it's not - another very positive factor.

Barely over 50 members and over 1100 posts?! one day you'll have to share the secret with me. This is a pretty damn good number for a low user number.
Once you're done adding your "bells and whistles" i can probably comment on some more, other than that, the functionality of myBB is pretty clean cut, forum categories are ok...well done.

Nice and clean although the alternance between the dark backgraound and the white foreground is not very easy on the eye. I would make the background lighter or the foreground darker to make it easier on the eye.

The logo is pretty plain and personally I am not a fan of reflections If you are focusing on US politics I would suggest changing the logo to reflect that.

Regarding the Adsense: I would remove the ads from the home page all together and add them in between forum posts.

What I like the most is the uncluttered look & feel.

Logo is simple...logo design is something I am iffy at. However I think it looks good and I can certainly take the concept and revamp it a bit later on.

The members were there already. I bought the site. It was VB and I converted it to Mybb. For all I know those are paid posts but that's no big deal. It's spider food and something so the place doesn't look empty.

The black for the most part is dead space and doesn't require you to read much in that area. The contrast might be start but the black area is a small portion of the site.

As for the adsense...I just added that to the header template since the space next to logo was empty. I will be adding ads inline. I will probably even do revenue sharing on this site.

THat's Mybb. For the most part it's a clean system to work from. VB at this point is so bloated with useless features that you aren't starting a forums anymore...you are starting a social networking community which imho is harder to start than a forum. I wonder what the failure rate for VB forums is. I can of think it's extremely high.

Great forum. Very clean and uncluttered.

Really nice favicon . In my opinion the blues don't go to well with the pure black background. And bright red + black kills your eyes. Removing the red and black, replacing it with lighter, softer colours would be much more effective (in my opinion).

it doesn't look like the normal out of the box forums i've seen - look professional and nicely spaced out. colour scheme is nice - font good. if ii had to critise anything it would be the logo which doesn't seem to have a relevant colour split - doesn't need it
