Please Give Us Advice On Redesigning the Corporate Website.

Firstly we would sincerely thank those nice friends on some forums who reviewed our website http://www.sothink.com and pointed out problems in many aspects.

Now we are planning to redesign our website and we are figuring some general outline for that. Please help kindly us with following quesitons, as we want to be professional!

1. What in your view is an ideal homepage for a software company like us?

2. Can you suggest some required function/technology that a website for us should have?

3. We know we should avoid taboos, but for details we know very few.can you give one
or two advice on that?

We believe your suggestion will be great help to us.

Hey there, for starters I think your current website is perfect! I love the colours and the "fun" theme it has, btw.....a friend of mine purchased sothink dhtml menu and wrote a review about it on my forum, feel free to check it out!

I think you should stick with the current feel. However, you should maybe thing about redesigning the menu and the buttons. The general layout is good and easy to navigate so try not to change that.

When we compare with some other sites in same industry there is a big distance away.

I think this site should not be very fancy as pro sites are cool and nice but not fancy

To be honest, your site is much more pleasing to look, apart from that, it looks far more pro.

Try to be individual, if you are trying to look "pro" like other sites, then you just look like them. Always differentiate yourself from other competition. Just my advice.

Well, its just hard to balance this, we want to look professional. and many people like to find professional products on a same professional site.
while another group,like you, may prefer individual ones...
