What do you think of EgyptianProperty.com?
There are 200.000 results in Google, and there are dozens of companies dealing with Egyptian properties. I was surprised when I found this domain unregistered

This domain looks like a hand reg (strike 1) and breaks the 14-Character Rule of domains (strike 2). In domaining it's two strikes and you're out. Grace delete this domain ASAP. Use the money to add to your inventory of ammo and whiskey. The great World famine is near.

This domain was registered for only $1.18, so it's not a big loss

Regarding the 14-character rule: there are hundreds of examples for longer domain names that can be sold for a big sum of money - sometimes I'm amazed that 20-25 character long domains are sold for thousands E.g. newyorkhomeownersinsurance.com: 26 characters, and it was sold for $1.750 ... So, in my opinion this rule cannot be applied for all cases.

Before I canceled it I'd throw up a simple WordPress Real Estate Theme on it then shoot those "dozens" of companies an email saying the SITE was available (if you have some time before expiration - then do a few links - post some stuff - see if you can get a decent ranking before you email) . . . . IMHO - you are this deep into it might as well see where the rest of the trail goes.

Just not sure people in Egypt would necessarily be looking for the English version of this domain . . . but I'd still take 30 minutes to throw up a site and send out a few emails - ya never know - I guess we have folks here in the US looking for [Egyptian Real Estate]?? (140 Exact Global Searches and a .46 Average CPC / according to Google and a fair number of ads showing on the SERP . . . - for ALL that's worth).

I also thought of creating a small site, but I didn't want to spend too much time with developing this name - I think this domain is not really for developing but for flipping to an end user.

I've already checked the possible buyers in Google, there are 20-30 businesses (mainly from the UK) dealing with Egyptian properties. I've sent emails to about a dozen of companies, but no reply yet. I won't be sad if no-one replies - it was fun to select this domain and to search for endusers

I don't know for sure if foreigners can buy a property in Egypt, but there's a big chance, because many English/Russian companies are dealing with Egyptian real estate.

I would hold on to this one and wait for there to be more stability there. I'm sure property isn't selling well if nobody knows whats happening with the gov and if foreigners will be able to keep the property. When the time comes approach end users.

Great domain name, maybe being expensive if succes in property site. I got a friend have a property site.
One time, there are people who want to buy his own website $1 million , but he did not sell it, because he could be more than that value each year. he's spending of $ 28,000/month just to advertise his website.

I agree on this one and think it is a bit awkward to not have the plural.

That said I also do not believe it to be a complete waste and definitely see potential. It is after all a whole country we are talking about.

Egypt has fallen in love with social media. This is evident through the protests last spring in which Facebook, Twitter and others played arguably the largest role in spreading the word of protests - where they were planned, who was targeted, messages, etc. The success of this domain may rely on social media.

I am afraid I do not have much of a price appraisal to give at this because in its current economic and political state, this domain is worth low $xx at best. However if you can integrate it with social media and take advantage of a pivotal swing in economics and/or drives toward democracy you could be in some great shape - $xxx-x,xxx on this one.

Do some research and be careful of what you put on as far as content. I have a feeling your end user will be outside of Egypt, nevertheless you want it to appeal to Egyptians. If you get serious enough hiring a linguist familiar with the dialect will also prove immensely useful.
