I gotta admit I don't understand why. To me these domains sound just like those trendy web 2.0 names that people are using. Ex. del.icio.us.

Sites like that need developing, eg: imagine if facebook never existed and then came here for a valuation, more than likely people would probably give it reg fee on the basis that it doesnt really mean or make sense.

Again, that makes sense. The domain name business seems to be one of common sense. "Who would want this type of name? What would they use it for? Is the name catchy? How much traffic does this keyword get? etc."

Can anybody direct me to resources where I can learn all of the particulars of what makes a good domain name? Help me help myself.
