Hey, slightly embarrassed to be asking for an appraisal as a newbie around here, though just moving into this area from other parts of IM.

I got these six months ago but don't really have the time.

Estibot is suggesting some big numbers, would appreciate a real world opinion please.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to comment.

real world opinion is $o on all them. there made up with great keywords but each has some form of length, order, sense, extension problems.

Interesting feedback - thank you. All have reasonable exact match search volume and relatively high adwords costs. Guess I knew Estibot was somewhat excessive, I'm slightly surprised by zero.

Still - all good education.

search volume doesn't apply to non .com domains and adword cost is meaningless

$0 bout sums it up

Where did you hear search volume doesn't apply to non .com domains? Because who ever told you is playing some messed up joke on you lol

It counts for every domain extension......

Your basically trying to say nothing gets ranked other then .com?

I have a .co.uk and a .net ranked at 1 and 2 for their main keyword.

But I agree with the value of the domains they are too long to be of any value, keywords are good but if I was even considering getting a domain that long I could just buy my own and add a word or something.

Your along the right lines though just make your future domains smaller 2 words is good ;)

search volume for a term or phrase is one thing, but when you put those terms or phrases with a .org or non .com, the number is irrelevant. unless the terms are ".org" related, as in university, charities or such services that "fit" the extension.

for "exact" results, there is no such thing, unless those results include the terms with extension.

getting "rank" in G for a non .com is not a problem, if you know what you're doing

and can be done for domains with low search volumes.

imo...

Thanks all for the input and debate. Very useful.

I originally bought these domains to test some software, not for resale. They have now completed the test I wanted to run. They were chosen specifically because it isn't too difficult to rank in G when you have a domain with an exact keyword match to the search phrase.

Two of the sites have been monitezed and generated commissions - quite surprising given that I've put no effort in to promote the sites.

For now, I guess promote and earning commissions is more practical than selling.

Takeaway for me - sell short .coms - monetize the rest.
Thanks again.
