I have several domains that expire in 2007. The problem I have is that on half of the Whois sites, I check, the expiration dates are listed as 2006. The whois at my registrar and Networks solutions shows the correct expiration dates. I have e-mailed and called my registrar and they say they can't understand why this is happening. The problem is that the expiration dates on some of them are as close as Jan. 24, 2006. Will these domains be classified as dropped unless the different Whois data is corrected? Anyone looking up these domains will think they will be expiring on Jan. 24th 2006.
Is this something I need to worry about? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

What? Network solutions hires a bunch of underpaid, under appreciated, party mongering, part-timers just liie any other corporation. They don't make knowledgeable people answer the phones. That costs too much.

I don;t have the answer but I think someone here will. Many people here who are far more intelligent than some customer service phone person at NetSol making $7/hr and 3 hours shy per week of health care benefits.

Network solutions has the correct expiration dates, but the internic whois , Better whois and GoDaddy whois, all have the wrong expiration dates. These are the only ones I've checked so far. I'm in the process of contacting several people at this time to straighten this out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks for your help!

Domaindiscover is my registrar.

I have this happen with Dotster domains all the time. My dotster whois will show them updated, but apparently they don't send the update to the master registry until right near the expiration date. I even had a few that wouldn't update after the expiration date. They did not expire go to pending delete, or anything bad, the master registry just never got updated. On a few, I could go in and make a change to just about anything in the whois or nameserver just to force an update. Sometimes that worked.

I had one domain that would not update to the master registry at all due to the way the whois was filled in. It was a name I transferred to someone in Hungary, and since they had no "state/Province" code, I left it blank. Support finally said the registry kept rejecting the update since the state code was blank. I believe this one was a .info at registerfly if I remember correctly.
