Hi guys,
Non hypothetical question. I'm making a series of online health articles, and wanted room for it to grow into something bigger. Looking for a name that seems trustworthy, big (and I guess advertisable-on, if it gets to go that way). I'm not thinking only US, but happy to go a US name if its the best option.

What would you chose as the best from:

MyHealthEncyclopedia.com

ArticlesOnHealth.org

DictionaryofHealth.com

USHealthDirectory.org

USHealthDictionary.org/ .com

USHealthpedia.com / .org

Elixipedia.com

HealthFiles.info

Or perhaps go some other direction?

Opinions on this would be great

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
I'd go with MyHealthEncyclopedia.com. Looks good.

Should have made it a Poll, might be too late to do that though.

Anyway, I'd go with DictionaryofHealth.com

MyHealthEncyclopedia.com
- Nice, but a bit long and it will be prone to typos.

ArticlesOnHealth.org
I would probably go with this one. for some reason people trust .org and its related to health and also the domain is quite descriptive.

DictionaryofHealth.com

Encyclopedia is prone to typos, plus if I recall correctly, our friends on the other side of the pond spell it "Encyclopaedia"

U.S. Health Dictionary.org

It implies both breadth and authority and is depersonalizing in title.
U.S. coupled with .org, which denotes a non-profit or public service organization, in the minds of most, would be the best call.

yikes! this sounds like the debate going on in my head, all good points!

D-:

Memorability is another factor, so people can remember what it is - and to be able to get back there.

Ok, 100NP$ prize for this game and/ or eternal NP-name-picker-glory to the person who convinces me the best way to go.

:tu:

There was a recent entry via PM (to very graciously let me grab it before it's posted here) - USHealthpedia.com / .org - by Trips O_o No Limit

If you are planning on making it big,I would try to find a .com (you can still name it the .org,but atleast own .com too).I dont like the dictionary one(doesnt fit well,ITs not a dictionary).I do like MyHealthEncyclopedia but like others said it is prone to typos. That is the one I choose off your list though.I do like ArticlesOnHealth.org but like I said I think you should have .com.I took a little time and looked around for some available names but it was very hard to find anything decent available.I am sending you a couple by PM allthough I really dont like any of them all that much but maybe you will.GL

OfficialHealthBulletin/s.com
OfficialHealthArticle/s.com
HealthInformants.com
TheHealthInformer.com
TheHealthInformers.com
TheHealthInformants.com

How do those sound?...

:D

i recommend going with a 2 word domain maximum. avoid "the" "of" "and" etc..

good luck! at the end of the day a 20 word domain can work if you have updates/content/audience of course.

some recent suggestions:

HealthTalker.org
HealthObserver.org
HealthFiles.info
HealthTeacher.us

kudos to scoops22

another thought i had was to go brandable when there's no standout generic:

Elixipedia.com

thanks to everyone who contributed, i've gone through and added reps to everyone whom i could

:great:

in the end i haven't changed my original thought - to develop myhealthencyclopedia.com more thinly and broadly, and to put longer articles on articlesonhealth.org (which I link to).

i won't be big enough for the typos to be a problem for a good long while, if they do i'll probably also have enough $ to afford a better name. i'll also hang on to them in case i change my mind (but offers welcome!).

hard to pick a winner for the prize - but snoops22 went out with some great searching efforts, so let's call him the best NP name picker for june 08!

B-)
