PHP CMS -> Pagebuilder

I'm making a webdesign company and I'm stuck at the moment.

I want to provide my clients with a content management system, the thing is, I want to give them the means to edit a page visually... using sort of a pagebuilder... like this-->

Anyone got any idea how I can go about doing this?

why would u wanna do that tho?

the aim of a cms is to update the site, the client would already have the design in place

the client may want to make things bold... italic.. add a pic... add a link

so, you want to write your own protal type of script? it seems like you would need a major programming effort for that. and i mean major, not just a couple of days effort

What you want is quite easily done with JavaScript. Let me know if you still want a solution. If so I'll point you in the right direction.
