Phone question

Considering i grew up playing pinball for 20 cents for 5 balls i guess its fair to say i am not that tech savvy , my nokia is about 8 years old , so no itunes for me !

So i wish to clarify a few things

android phones run like a computer .....interent based ?

unlocked iphones can view all websites , not just .mobi html ?

i dont need a .mobi \html website to viewed by most phones

i am just trying to workout if a website needs anything special to be viewed on mobile phone
