Hello,

In need of a cellular phone now.
While filing through offers im going with Cingular, and I get a phone free.

Originally I was going to go with:
Nokia 6102i

but while checking over again, I saw this one - and the reviews are just as good - if not better:
Sony Ericsson z525a

Anyone own either of these phones that has an opinion?

Thanks,
Stevo

I don't own either of those, but I have owned 2 sony ericsson phones, and like them alot, so I would suggest that one. (The ones I owned were the 610 and 290a)

However, for my next phone, I plan to get a Motorola SLVR.

Yeah that phone does look very nice. My friend had an ericsson (not flip) and it was good. He then got the razor when ATT made him switch to cingular and he hates it.

EDIT: bah, found out the place I was going to order only accepts 18 or older. Will have to keep searching or check out a local store in hopes of good deal.

I'll never sign up for a contract ever again. The roaming killed me a couple of years ago. Cancelled the frigging thing right after I paid the bill off. I'll buy one outright and buy the cards...much cheaper. But I guess it's good for someone who doesn't have the money to buy the phone, but they sure do get you in the end with those monthly fees.

I use a Tracfone myself.. don't like being tied to a contract and they get good reception just about anywhere the "other guys" do or better. Never had a dropped call.

Best yet.. you can get 120 free minutes everytime someone you know buys a Tracfone and you send them an invite.. they get 120 mins free, and you get 120 mins free.

A card costs $20 for 60 mins at Walmart. A Tracfone cell phone costs $20 at Walmart. So, what I do is either get someone I know to buy a phone and get the minutes OR I buy a phone and give it to someone and sign them up and then get double the minutes
