People can list domains auctions on GoDaddy now?

Seems Treats.com goes to https://www.searchhounds.com/articl...from-taiwan.html?psystem=PW&domain=treats.com and shows a link to GoDaddy auction.

So if treats.com was listed by GoDaddy expired domain they wouldn’t redirect to this sketchy url, right? So this makes me think it’s just a random person making this auction.

This domain seems ai slop totally random crap and covers any topic.

Why this website privacy policy goes to GoDaddy https://www.godaddy.com/agreements/showdoc?pageid=PRIVACY

treats.com
is available on GoDaddy Auctions.

no, it is GoDaddy. Only GoDaddy domains on the auctions, you can't self auction names there.

Based on this does it mean that Godaddy bought one of my domains for 1K usd, then listed in their own auction, it probably did not sell and now is parked on searchhounds, do I get it right?

What they said....

Godaddy also reportedly/potentially owns all the following (For perspective):

pointing-down.png
Domain & Marketplace Services
  • SearchHounds: A GoDaddy-controlled landing page and ad revenue platform for parked domains.
  • Afternic: One of the world’s largest domain name marketplaces.
  • Dan.com: A domain marketplace acquired for its automation and lease-to-own options.
  • Uniregistry: A domain registrar and secondary marketplace portfolio.
  • NameFind: The entity that manages GoDaddy’s massive internal portfolio of over a million domain names.
Web Security & Management
  • Sucuri: A leading website security and protection platform.
  • ManageWP: A tool for managing multiple WordPress sites from a single dashboard.
  • Pagely: A high-end managed WordPress hosting provider.
Commerce & Marketing
  • Poynt: A major commerce and payment processing company acquired for $320–$365 million.
  • Sellbrite: Multi-channel e-commerce software.
  • GoDaddy Studio (formerly Over): A graphic design and content creation app.
  • Main Street Hub: A social media marketing platform.
European Hosting (Host Europe Group - HEG)
GoDaddy acquired HEG for $1.79 billion, which included several major European brands:
  • 123 Reg (UK)
  • Domain Factory (Germany)
  • Heart Internet (UK)
Infrastructure & Specialty
  • GoDaddy Registry: Formerly Neustar’s registry business; manages TLDs like .us, .biz, and .club.
  • FreedomVoice: A cloud-based VoIP provider for small businesses.
  • Media Temple: A premium web hosting provider.
  • DNAcademy: A training platform for domain name investing.
Note: There's probably more, but the above is most the mainstream known ones that come to mind.

Though, I think NamePros parking is better than SearchHound parking :)

SearchHounds.com is GoDaddy's Related Search for Content (RSOC) solution to Google killing AdSense for Domains.

But yes, you can apply to their quarterly auction events to list domains in GoDaddy Auctions.

Treats.com (an expired domain) just sold for $159,888

Joking aside, cloud.ai (sold for $600,000, not via an expired-domain auction) still redirects to SearchHounds.
