Some of you are writers (I happen to think domaining and writing go hand-in-hand), so you might be interested in this post, which discusses one writer's writing process.
Back in June, as I was perusing the Godaddy auction list, I stumbled upon Nanonovel.com.
Although I'm a writer, I had no idea what a Nanonovel was.
I thought maybe it was a micro-novel, but no...
Anyway, long story short: a NaNo Novel is a 50,000+ word novel that has been written during National Novel Writing Month (in November). Evidently, thousands of writers participate in this event, posting it on the NaNoWriMo website.
I was intrigued enough that I decided to try writing a NaNo Novel, so I acquired Nanonovel.com (no TM, I checked) and started blogging some rough notes, although, technically, a NaNo Novel is supposed to be written totally off-the-cuff, without prior planning.
However, I'm not one to write anything off-the-cuff, so I have been blogging some notes, and I plan to start writing the actual novel in November with a rough outline already prepared.
Also, I'm not one to post my work on other people's websites, which is why I decided to set up my own blog. Besides, as I said, it will not be a true NaNo Novel, and the rules are strict on the official website.
Peep Central is the fourth title in two months (Others included Q, Quinella, and Qanimal).
Peep Central will be a young adult novel, and the following is the premise:
Domaining is going to be a major part of this novel.
Qeah, the younger sister of main character Quinelle, helps to support the family (Quinelle, Qeah, and G.I. Dog) through domaining.
Thanks to Qeah, all the major characters have the .com of their first names (even the family dog).
Anyway, the process will be interesting. Of course, I hope the novel is too, but that remains to be seen.
The fact that the characters are coming alive (at least for me) is a good sign.
Anyway, that's it!

Peep Central will be a young adult novel, and the following is the premise:
What if you came home from school one day, and discovered that your mother has disappeared without a trace?
What’s more, what if it’s your 11th birthday, which also happens to be 9/11, the day terrorists struck America?
Then about four years later, what if your father also disappears, leaving you and your sister a goodbye note and instructions for living on your own?
What would you do?
How would these important events (among other events) inform your life?
Peep Central will attempt to answer these questions.
