I was charged 1.95 for account verification. I remember it said the money would be credited back to my account. When will it happen? I have already verified.

I got a reply from their support. They said the amount would be credited back to me once I use the credit card to pay a payment. How do I pay by credit card? I know when I don't have enough fund for a payment they will use my credit card to fund it. So, should I withdraw the fund first and then do a payment to get my money back? Bother!

Usually, if you don't have enough PP funds within your paypal account, the credit card is automatically used as the payment option. If you already have a balance (from a bank transfer or by receiving a payment), then it will need to be used up first, before being able to use your CC for payments.

This sucks. Paypal did not do this at all when I signed up way back in the day. It's horrible. I bet they invest that money too in their little 'Money Market Fund' and the just give you your original $1.95 back, even if it became worth $2.00 or more. ($.05*paypal_new_users_per_month is probably a lot)
