Why isn't PayPal letting me use my credit card?

I have US$5 in my paypal account,and i need to send US$100 to someone. Now when I click on "send money" it uses the money in my account. I already have my credit card added to my account and my account is verified. When i send the money should I just type in US$100 and then will paypal see I don't have $100 in my account,then will it use my credit card instead?

More than likely it will use the 5 bucks from your account and take the rest from the credit card.
