I ordered a standard (no fee) ACH transfer yesterday morning, not even very early in the morning either, and the PayPal funds (about a thousand dollars) were in my bank account by the end of the day. Lately these free PP to bank account transfers take at most one business day (i.e. in the bank by the next business day).

So there’s not even necessarily much if any of an advantage at least where I am, in the U.S., to paying for these instant transfers - even the non instant standard ones might arrive same day.
