Paypal Masspay Issues

Did you notice any problems with Paypal Masspay recently?

I am trying since yesterday to send 2 payments but I always receive an error message when I click on the masspay link,
here is the message I am receiving:

Sorry โ€” your last action could not be completed

My Paypal Account is a German Business Account and I have been sending almost every single purchase via Masspay for the last 2-3 years, since I don't want my sellers to carry any Paypal fees, now I am stuck.

Do you have the same problems when trying to access Masspay??

Thanks
Toni

I think I had that error once a couple days ago, but then I tried again and it worked fine. Most likely some kind of problem with the file format, or not enough cash in the account etc. if not just relogin to your account and try again see if that solves the problem.

lol, Lorenzo - a new anti-paypal campaign? :D - you cheer me up always, I mostly agree with MB being better then PP and I have an account with both since a few years, but the problem is acceptance in our business, few domainers have or like to use the big unknown MB... Sometimes I offer MB as a checkout option in my sales but so far no-one has ever made use of this option (will start to offer it in every sale from now on just to keep you happy), oh btw I had more transaction with E-Passporte (around 5) then with MB (3) mostly for Link-Sales, what are your thoughts on E-Passporte?

@DM - I have enough funds in my account and it's no problem with the file format I don't even get to the point where I can upload my Masspay File :(

Has to be one of the two then:
1. A browser problem, check if js is enabled, try another browser, restart the comp etc. (not likely)
2. More likely they may have disabled the masspay option for your account. Paypal can do this and I know of another domainer who had that problem. The reasons are not always clear to why, but you can try to email, or call them to ask about it. Good luck :)

oh boy, it's not the browser - thats the first time I hear that masspay disabling exists...

That would be pretty bad for me, I am using it at least 5 times a week (could be because of to excessive usage??) - Guess I am going to join Lorenzo's Group ;)

Could be, I think they'll enable it back after some time, this kind of things are usually temporary, still worth contacting them to find out.

Excellent, I think all it takes is a few of us and the "antivirus" will spread like fire. :)

This time I am going hard on them since they took 10 days to unfreeze $1,400 on my account.

@DM have already emailed them the first time you mentioned it :)

Thanks..

I can understand PP in a way, they make a dollar only on my transactions that would bring in $xx in cross border fees, let's hope it's temporary only...

Btw I enjoyed reading your blog posts :)

@bacmanov I have used AlertPay a few times for Domain Registrations in Albania and I have to say it's a great and secure way for payment processing at first glance but haven't digged any deeper into it..

@lorenzo I just remembered that my friend had the very same issue as you and he ended up losing his PP account

I forgot to answer in regards to e-passport: never used sorry.

If it's good , then can use that too.....as long as we stop using PayPal, then I'm happy!

If I were to write all the pain they caused me, I'll be here for hours!

Also, the mess happens because each department does only 1 thing so the one who takes the phone calls forwards messages to the one who decides but no one can talk to the one who decides....

It's the same in most large companies - Godaddy is another good sample where I had many near heart attack moments with support..

So you are 100% convinced that situations like this can not happen with MB, I think the number of incidents with Paypal is mainly caused by the massive usage of Paypal, less people using a service - less complaints but then again freezing money is really uncool indeed, I had this happen when I started with Paypal because it took forever to get some papers submitted (I don't remember the exact story but they locked a rather big amount of money)

We can only try.

But a good company will listen to complaints, while PP does not listen.

And, the major issue is not that.....it's the chargeback risk.
