question Patent v/s Trademark

Someone invented something new, say a product called xyz123 and has patented it, but no trademark registered. The product becomes popular and marketed under different brand names by the patent holder and his authorised parties. Can registering the domain names xyz123.tld or somethingxyz123.tld or xyz123something.tld land someone in trouble?
