Passwords? And login name

ok im newer to making site, shit i just use web page maker v2, so i was wondering how do i make it that ppl have to sign up to my site pick a name and password to login, just like forums and all

but i have no idea

The easiest way is going to be with using a pre-made script such as PHPNuke or Mambo, etc - one that has member functions that will allow you to require registration (Which im almost positive PHPNuke does). Otherwise, check out www.hotscripts.com, theres a plethera of user authentication goodies to be had there
