I am brand new at domain parking. I have 6 domain names I recently came up with and have them parked at Sedo, but how do you generate traffic to the sites? Thanx in advance.

Well you don't. The domains should already have built-in traffic.

The goal is to buy domains with traffic... Once thing you need to know, the domain name business is currently in a down slump, so it is a good time to buy. You'd need to wait a few years from here to make a good profit. For premium domains there is never a down market. The higher end of the market in fact is booming. This is true for almost any market, like you would see premium real estate in Manhattan and other expensive neighborhoods go up in value when the rest of the country was facing foreclosures.

It is getting harder for new people to enter the domain name business with time. You need hundreds if not thousands of domain names to see any action. And, you will be throwing away a lot of what you buy and constantly buying more, keeping only the ones with traffic. You can now register domain names for $0.75, back in the day it cost you $100 for registration. Don't look at domain name business as a quick way to make a buck, but a long term investment. Buying every month with a dedicated lay off is smart. Instead of thinking of domain names you should register domain names that expired. You never know, someone might of had a high traffic website and died, now you have a chance to take over all their hard work for $0.75 (domainnames.com).

If you are looking for an easy way to make money it is not in domain names, this is one of the hardest businesses out there. You are better off selling cars or getting a degree and working if you want easy money. If you are ready to make mistakes and loose money for the next 10 years of your life than this is the business for you. However, when you are living in a mansion and have a garage full of exotic cars and your friends ask you whats the secret to domain name investing? Tell them its easy...
