Parking Revenue up in Dec?

Anyone else experiencing some nicer returns so far this month in Dec?

I assume its due to the Holiday online shopping - but my numbers are starting to look a lot like last year...

I almost hesitate to say so for fear of jinxing it, but yes, I've noticed a little improvement.

On the other hand, my AdSense is totally tanking this month; so you wins some and you loses some.

i wish i had the same story as you guys do, but my CTR and revenue have tanked this december......

I've got a particular domain that's jumped in CTR from 5.15% to 9.76%, so I'm not complaining at all...

Overall I think the trend has started back on an incline, but I wouldn't say its anything like last year or even a few months ago. Between ND, Parked, Adsense, and Sedo I was averaging $12 daily. I've bought a few traffic names, and launched a few minisites since. Right now I'm averaging about $5 a day. Thats actually up a bit from where it bottomed out. For a while it was below $4.

It sucks that revenue is so far down, but it has been a good experience. I set my sights on $100 a day to take domaining full time. If I had approached that goal and quit the day job this little bump in the road could have really hurt. Now I've got a much better idea of how low the bottom could be and just how much of a safety net I need before I leap into becoming a full time domainer.

I also observed revenue drop for second half of october, and for the whole november. December also started low as november. The good side down trend seems to reach its end. The bad side, I don't know the reason behind. Is is due to worldwide economic crisis and decreasing marketing budgets? Any ideas? If so why CTRs also dropping?

Depends on the domain

Wondering if its mostly shopping related sites that are seeing a jump.

I have seen a slight improvement but that might just because our traffic is growing at this time of the year.

Since Parked added the feature to optimize domains in bulk, I have seen a pretty nice increase in earnings for the domains that I've optimized or re-optimized. I simply had too many to do them one at a time before. Most of my domains are financial, legal or health related (only a few consumer or shopping - I try to stay more or less economy-proof) and the CPCs are up too - more $3 and $4+ clicks.

If you've got domains at Parked that you haven't gone through and checked the keyword, added titles, descriptions and meta keywords, maybe change the template, colors or pictures - you might want to consider shaking things up a bit. I'm pretty well convinced that has helped me.

For me - but I am a newcomer to monetizing - Adsense is definitely down since the beginning of this month, compared to the previous two months - despite having addedd a few more domains to my Adsense account.
