What are you complain about?
20% CTR isn't too bad for adult domains, I think ;)

Been doing some tweaking on one of my names at parked and can't figure out how 1. Increase my porn click revenue, and my ctr.

What is everyones porn ctr with parked? Mine brings in 300 to 400 uniques a month but my ctr is only at 20 percent? Earlier in the year sedo is a joke with ctr and click revenue. Then parking panel my clicks were higher but seemed less traffic and less of a ctr as well.

Wondering if the lander page hurts the ctr with the agreement page and of age usage or has there been a study that shows it should increase it.

I so wish I had a spyware.com or candy.com type in traffic and higher click rates then everyone else lol.

Kiddy pool domainer is getting bummed on parking names past few weeks. Lol.

Thanks in help

Thanks in post.

I have not really studdied ctr on parking pages for porn. Know affilates and sign ups you need mass volume to create a revenue model.

Couple people have told me there ctr for porn related names are doing 40 to 50 percent. Then I chatted with couple others and they thought 20 percent was low.

I love parked and I brought that name back. Earlier in the year I moved things around and tested other places out. Parked does well for me on a few names for me. Wish I could figure out my forex names and mesothelioma terms but couldn't.

I guess key indicator or if donny could comment is on the lander and of age issue. Does it help or not for ctr? Does it get people get excited and they do the extra click to enter site? And yes I know porn industry is getting some heat now and laws and worries. That's not what I am asking.

Cheers and I need to review the past few pages of parked thread and catch up on my readings lol.

Usually when bots are mentioned here I see it in my stats. I don't see it this time.

Maybe it was just me. When I have groups of 50 or 100 domains that each start with a different city or state name, and see visits one by one to each domain, I figure that has to be a bot. Nobody's likely to type those in one at a time.

How do you know when a bot has visited your site ?

Jeff - The warning page, is something that Yahoo requires of all of their partners. We have done some testing and you do lose about 5-10% CTR. But that warning page is only shown in countries they support.

I looked at the CTR on two adult domains we own, and our CTR is much higher than your 20%. But I looked at a few others and the CTR does vary from 20 to 70%. So I guess it depends more on the traffic and the country of the traffic.

In the next few weeks some of the adult restrictions we have today may change a little, but the warning pages will still be there.

Ok. Thanks donny and in the answer.

I know I get a lot of traffic outside of the united states on this name.

May do an experiement and bring my porn related names back to parked and see how the traffic is and use keywords.

A ctr of 70 percent would be amazing lol!

Is there a way to get a text list of the current templates that are out there? There seem to be hundreds and it would help to know what they are instead of searching on each letter. Thanks!

ebatcave - Ask your account manager to see if he can get you a list. We currently have 15,482 different templates. :) We normally don't want to make it publically downloadable, because then the competition could just use it as a starting point. That would be too easy.

We add about 20-30 new templates each day.

But templates one day will be a thing of the past, this is one of my new test pages. http://www.phpscripts.com. It's my own "borrowed" design, with a little rss feed added in, some content, and a few youtube videos. If anybody is from outside the US, you will have to go to the results page.

I will be on vacation starting today, so it's always fun to leave people with something new and no way for me to comment about it.

Netmeg is right. It's not a template. It's a custom layout.

If you are buying expired adult traffic domains 20% is not so unusual but if you buy generic adult domains your CTR goes up dramatically - most of the time.

Here's one of my generic adult with Parked doing 138% CTR with a fair sample of 975 visitors. It's just the .06 a click that is killing me - but I'm not complaining b/c it is better than I can get anywhere else when you factor in the CTR. :]

975 1,348 $85.86 138.26% $0.06 $83.71

Are you going to make this "template" available Donny?
...
If so...when? :)

Sdx - that layout is mine. You will need to create your own. :)

It's not hard, as long as you can use a html editor.

Whoa Whoa!!! Slow down there, Donny!

This is completely leaving the path of "regular templates" and definitely looks more appealing than anything in the DB of choices.
Unfortunately, most of us - or at the very least, i am - not a coder. I understand what HTML is all about, but writing something that has an acceptable visual output is a no-go.
Short of outsourcing to someone to code, how can the common "parker" achieve similar results?

Throw us a bone here, man! :)

Making my own parking pages would be a breeze if I could blow up the adsense blocks to twice their normal size without getting kicked out of the program for violating TOS. :)

Well it's not AdSense, because Parked delivers a Yahoo (and other) feed. Maybe the other companies have different rules about formatting the sponsored links.

Hoo... I can't *wait* to get my hands on this, although I won't be able to do it justice until after the 4th of July.
