Don't Judge me by how many posts I have. As though some idiot with a thousand posts might have more right to raise a question. You stated something shocking. Different Revenue shares for different people. You respond by saying "special sauce" a very reassuring and professional response to your reasoning. I did see "We'll pay you industry-leading commissions!" on the front page of your website. It didn't mention the CheneYesque secret sliding scale special sauce fine print.
So is parked paying everyone industry leading revenue share or not. I think if two people have real clicks on the same keyword from the same country they should get they same revenue.

My bad on reading the % numbers

I wondered about the referrals thanks for clearing that up.
I cant say whether or not i have "gotten a raise" at Parked. But I can say over time my portfolio in general is improving. Its not always the parking company but the work you do yourself. I am very pleased with my experience with parked, they have always answered my emails my earnings are growing and they Pay on time. What else do you want? It might be the domains you have or just a bump on your learning curve but you wont find a better parking company.IMHO

I'm extremely happy with what Parked is doing for me these days.

I don't understand all this obsession with what everyone else is doing or making. I don't care what Google or Yahoo is making, I don't care what Parked is making, I don't care what any of YOU are making (except in a general sort of "hope you're doing okay" way) - I care about what *I* am making. Nobody forced me to buy domains, nobody made me sign up with any of the parking companies, and I don't expect them to care more about my business than they do about theirs.

Miami, the sliding scale payments based on TQ tends to get me peeved but it drives me to improve it so I can max out revenue.

For one of my domains the other day, I woke up to 1 visitor, 9 clicks and $20. I don't see that happening with some of the other parking companies who undoubtedly shave clicks.

I think Miami used to use the RockyBalboa name a few weeks ago. :)

People do get paid differently, I've said that since day one. If anybody asks their account manager what they are being paid we will tell them what revshare percentage we are giving them. We always have and always will.

I had somebody contact me yesterday about switching their 1500 domains to us, I already knew of their domains because we had purchased some from them a year ago during an auction. So the quality of their domains was top-notch. I had talked to them before at a few Traffic shows, so they could afford to pay Rick's prices to go to a show. And then when they said they wanted at least a 50% revshare, I laughed. I laughed because we pay more than that for somebody who just walks in the door and signups. And this person had been with that company for over 2 years.

Not Really

When it came down to it I really wouldn't care, It's just really none of my business what another parked domainer is earning....I'm just saying with the "GOLD EXAMPLE" generally in most industries the more money you have, earn, invest can be used as leverage to get a better price or slice of the pie.. :)

Well would you be pissed if you found out the guy who is making $5 a day had a bigger share than you? .

I was wondering if The future plans for parked include improved user traffic stats? A couple months ago i recall we were able to click on countries on the map for more info is that coming back?

What is parked.com's revshare range? Just wondering.

Hey.. just a quick question to find out how much I need to work here. I have exactly 1,039 domains at parked. (A lot of them aren't indexed so not all get traffic) Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to configure them, but I am really going to try to do about 20-40 a day. Anyway, my CTR is currently 8% for my unconfigured domains. What kind of CTR do some of you guys have who have actually gone through and optimized all of your names?

Actually, it is probably closer to 10% or 11% because everytime I add a domain or have changed something on it I always check it, and it tends to count me as a visitor. So those are all hits with no clicks.. Obviously. :hehe:

Across the portfolio i have about 40% CTR, of course that includes the domains that see a few visitors but users decide to run away screaming before they consider clicking on anything. < punks!>
However, the domains that do get visits and clicks and are "developed", they see CTR rates of 35% up to 175%. Logically, exceeding 100% is not common, but possible nonetheless.
Without crunching the numbers, i'd say that i'm seeing about 45%-75% CTR on the ones with content.
Numbers can change from day to day though, making this a bit unpredictable.

Thanks Intel. Yeah, my domains that perform well are all around 40-70% it seems like. Perhaps I just need to do more research into the ones that don't get the clicks. Although I know I am getting hurt by international traffic (like traffic from Thailand) that is just difficult to get clicks on.

Right now I have around 2,500 domains with Parked and after optimizing them my CTR went up to around 68-75% early this summer, but then I began to really add a lot international traffic, which I optimized as well, but the rate then dropped and now stands at 49% for this recent pay period. The international traffic brought it down, since sometimes it is tough to optimize or there are not many advertisers, etc.....

It was a real mother getting the optimization done.... but you can get a huge batch of domains optimized there much, much quicker than any other place I have seen.

I have a few hundred domains that get over 100% CTR at Parked, and quite a few that get 200-350% CTR. These are ones that actually have some traffic, not low volume "freak click occurrence" type of domains.

One of the most beautiful things about PARKED is that its SO EASY to get MULTIPLE clicks per visitor since the main Parked page doesn't "float" away! :tu:
...
This is NOT the case for many other Parking providers which "supposedly" also pay for multiple clicks.

Are our sites at parked "Geo" sites? As in, if a user from Norway accesses a site parked at Parked, will the site be delivered in Norwegian with the appropriate ads or does it depend on Yahoo/Ask if they GEO translate their ads? If so, what are the countries that are not being served? I guess this would be of extreme importance when investing in ccTLDs such as .de/.it/.in and so forth.

Can you give us some insight, Donny?

Thanks,

IB

IB - Yes, search results are always geo targeted. Landing pages are a little trickier. I can tell you that each country has a different landing page than the next. So somebody in the UK will see a different landing page than somebody in the US, because prices are different in each market. We currently have 216 different countries that we are serving everyday, some are targeted to their language and country, some are just to their country. It also depends on the keywords as well, for example in China some keywords are in Chinese and some are in English.

The system adds new terms everyday.

Parked.com Signup

Donny,

I just signed up for Parked.com last night, and was a bit surprised. According to your online tour:

"1. Sign-up for instant approval."

"Sign-up now and in just a few hours, you will be able to see how
Parked.com can increase your profits."

But, when I submitted my application, I got:

"Thank you for you for signing up for parked.com.
We will evaluate your application and will notify you via email within 3
business days."

Not quite "instant approval"!

So, I guess I have to wait until Wednesday. :(

Just for info. - two days ago I registered gapmotorinsurance com and parked it with Parked - I see now that if I google "gap motor insurance" between quotes the site is already on the 1st page - but if I leave out the quotes then the site is too far down the pages for me to find
I'm surprised it's already Page 1 with the quotes - which is good - but is there any way I can get it further up the pages without the quotes ?
