DnPresident, click above your Keywordlist at Customize Colums or so and make the Qualityfactor visible...

If the Qualityfactor is low than because the destinywebpage isnt matching to it or because too few people click your ads. Probably because the keyword isnt matching the things the people are searching for. And if your CTR per Keyword is beyond 0,5 then your Qualityscore is sinking. This is for the searching part of Adwords.

If you have too many bad CTR even the whole Group gets higher Keywordprices...

Greetings!
Sebastian

PriceQuotes.com doesnt do Arbitrage. But if you have a site you are sending traffic to and making more money with adsense than you paid with adwords its another thing. PriceQuotes.com doesnt do it that way I think.

But... at the end I dont know more than what I wrote. If you know people that do real adwords-adsense-arbitrage I would be interested to learn how they do. Because how I told you before I wanted to do it too and all of the persons that did it before dont know a way to run this special arbitrage-thing again.

Greetings!
Sebastian

Sebastian......how do u know they are not doing arbitrage?.....them or you or me...paying for an ad on adwords and sending that traffic to your site...my site...etc..with adsense on it.....is not considered full out arbitrage if u have excellent content that will make for a user-friendly experience.......and if the cost of the ad is less than the clicks u get...then even better...:)

If you think that works... what can I say? Simply try. Maybe you can tell me I was wrong. Then I would join... :)

Greetings!

Google frowns on using Adwords or any other advertising program to drive traffic to a site that they consider doesn't follow their LPQ guidelines. If you've a thin site, the trick is to keep your CTR low for your lander. Anything above what Google considers "normal" CTR will likely trigger a red flag. What's normal CTR is a guess, anywhere from 2-10% I've read.

Here's an excerpt from an email from Google when they were considering closing my account last May: "...stop driving traffic to your sites using AdWords or other online advertising programs. "

No stats from yesterday yet...

I hope the stats for today are really late.
Got loads of click on Microsoft AdCenter, but none at parked!

If this is right, I lost quite a lot of money tonight

I usually have good Fridays, but so far today its looking really miserable. Saturdays and sundays are usually slow for me.

GIL :)

I'm seeing the same thing Gil. CTR is way down but visitors are about the same. Its shaping up to be a bad day. I hope people get in the clicking mood tonight!

Different terms. MSN is banning PPC traffic to parked pages too (and they don't even have their own publishing network as yet) Different companies do it different ways. It doesn't do much good to ask why, since nothing can be done about it.

There was a lawsuit filed against MSN today over this. I know the person who filed it. When I can find the info online I will post it. basic claim was adcenter stopped letting small publisher A run ads but allowed Big publisher B to continue and claimed to A in writing that it was due only to the amount of content on the page and if more content was added it would be approved once again. Big Publisher B had no content at all.

Hey donny I am in med school and own a student loan consolidation domain and a student loan domain. is it ok to post the site on a Corkboard/bulliten board in the dorms and class hallways to send traffic to the site? It would be specific traffic.

Thanks for the answer

Even if the final numbers don't drop I've still lost money. I've had to pause
some campaigns. Yesterday and today the worst ever at Parked.

CTR way down, RPC has tanked really bad - in some cases down to 40% of
what is was two days ago. This is for all my best earning domains.

It's like a stock market crash!

I know it's no fault of Parked but perhaps Donny can give us some insight
into what he thinks is happening on the Yahoo and Ask side of things???

For me, the last two days have seen a significant drop in CTR, down from the 50% + range to upper 30's to low 40's, but RPC is still holding fairly close to normal levels.

Indeed unusual.

There are a lot of adsense publishers screaming about a major downturn in earnings as well. It's industry wide whatever it is - and most likely it's just a reflection of the economy at large. Things are not financially sound in the world's economic giant and that is dragging everything down with it.

We just have to work harder with what we have.

Glad to hear someone say this. I'm not as knowledgeable as some on Parking companies, but Parked seem to me to be a well run company with more openness than others. Their interface is excellent, the stats and development tools are very good, and the staff are doing a great job imo taking care of and communicating with customers.

Regarding slow traffic day today: I will wait for the end of day stats as you never know stats may be lagging behind.

unfreaking believable! Final stats came in at 40% lower than estimated...and the estimates were already lower than usual. Not happy Jan.

Last 3 days - spectacular.
Today - beyond miserable. Practically non existing traffic/CTR. My second worst day in a long time...and that's before final stats. We all know what most likely will happen after finalization.
Fridays are miserable....
