The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. This was a very unusual week in the domain aftermarket. For the first time since we started tracking the domain aftermarket seven years ago, there are more non .com domains on our weekly all-extension Top 20 Sales Chart than .coms for the second consecutive week. The rise of ccTLDs in recent years has made this anomaly possible. The question is will this remain an anomaly or will it become a fairly common occurrence?

This week's ccTLD charge was led by a pair of country code domains that sold for a stunning total of $750,000 to top our latest leader board. Six of the ten biggest sales involved ccTLDs. You can get all of the details here:

Thank You Duke,

May I ask your feelings on the .CO extension? And do you think the
sale of O.CO will influence the registration rate in the extension.

Love your work .... a big fan

Looks like Moniker and Snapnames were involved with the purported $400k sale of Poker.ca. Hmmm. Snapnames ... that's the company that admitted to shill bidding/auction fraud in thousands of auctions dating back to 2004/2005. Hmmm ... they blamed a single employee for all that fraud, but IMHO you'd have to be brain-dead to believe it.

Now their results appear to be touted as accurate, believable, genuine, and honest by DnJournal, as though massive auction fraud is a non-issue.

IMHO, readers here should be well aware that ethically-challenged players in this industry exist, and continue to garner credibility by positive portrayal bestowed on them via posting of their respective auction results along side other players who haven't been outed as dishonest.
