i want to check my domain page ranking in google. where do i look for the "page rank"?

is downloading the google tool the only way to see the rank of one's domain name?

what $$$ value is attributed to a domain?

PR1-2 name?
Pr3-4?
pr5-6

below pr6? is page ranking the same as getting number one on a search page?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You can also go to PageRank.net to avoid downloading the toolbar, I believe.

Toolbar is a great way. I seen a cool sight that can do it also, http://pagerank.net PR1-4 are probably a little over reg fee at retail. I have the opportunity to hand reg lots of them at drop time but I just don't see any value in them. Not to mention not very many people buy them. You don't want to be stuck with hundreds of them when only 2 people buy.

Pagerank has nothing to do with how you are ranked in the SE's.

Nope...

PR does have something to do with how you rank in Google, but not as much as many people seems to believe..

It's also easy to fake the PR, so always check the number of backlinks to a domain before you buy it (for the PR).
You could end up loosing the PR after the next google PR update.
(haven't been one in several months now...)

so how do you get a realiable link checker?

PR alone will not get you anywhere in the search results.

PR+Links "developed together and correctly" is the only way.
They have to work together. There is really no point to get
PR (except it may look good and perhaps help sell a name - Just get the right links and the PR will come by itself.

I don't think it's a good idea to tell that in an open forum.. ;)

Right. No problem.

PR doesnt have anything really with value of the domain. PR = inbound links

So the more PR = worth more, but you should look at the real numbers of inbound links and from what sites they come from instead of looking at the PR.

The PR can/will drop very if you dont have a good page on the domain you have bought. And you should also need to have the same html pages left that the last site had, to save PR.

Dont really think you should look to much at the PR rank.

We offer a free version that will return PR results based on a domain or keyword at www.PRLookup.com and also a Bulk checker in the DropWatch.com members section.
