Own domain parking website or Sedo parking?

Hello, I am returning to domaining since '99 and my domains are currently with sedo.

My current self employed work involves great customer care, of which I believe is essential.

The only problem I find with domain parking is austerity of it. I would personally like to link the domain names to my website, where the prospective buyer can know the seller first (or does this matter?) and I can market the domain effectively.

I realise sedo parking can generate some pennies, but really how much depends on traffic obviously.

Anyway are there any domainers out there that have their own site selling or linking to a domain company? or are your domains listed with a domain company.

Thanks, Howard.

Your domain names won't earn anything from parking.
You must develop them to make money.
Are you here to discuss about grammar from non US citizens or are you here to talk about domain names?
How many languages do you speak?
I speak 4.

Can you back that statement up with proof? Parking domains will not make you money?

I beg to differ considering I make a great deal of money doing it.

You do not have to develop domains to make money. That is a myth and needs to be dispelled right now.

I MAKE A BOATLOAD OF MONEY FROM PARKING!

Edit:

Also, a single domain can provide great revenue whether anyone thinks it will or not. The only way to find out is to park them for a few weeks to see what happens.

I said he can't make money from parking with his domain names (those domains i saw on his website).

I didn't say nobody can make money with parking,

I guess it would help if we all know the names. I'd say park them just in case one of them has a strong backlink and is pulling in traffic.

Thanks Smurge, I might park them for a while and see what happens.

It's cool though, no worries. I wasn't asking for an evaluation on my domain names, just asking if other domainers have there own site marketing their names?

Thanks
Howard.

Those domains are hand-regged domains and they won't have any backlinks, unless he specifically have gone through the process of creating the backlinks?

Very few of our hand-regged domains will ever make any considerable amount of money unless we've put them through some sort of techniques.

Reading hundreds and thousands of comments by other ordinary domainers (not including the likes of Mr Pigean Shit domainer in this) very few domainers are making good money from parking by any means. People like you are in the minorities. Of course everyone would like to know the secret of your sucess but obviously you're not going to expose that or if you are, you're not going to do it for free.

I know this is probably heresy but I have found that the best parking for my domains (numerics) is GoDaddy. Yes they charge a fee but the payout more than covers that if you have a lot of domains. I have not had good payouts for my domains with any of the other parking sites. But, again, this is just for numerics (4-digit and 5-digit .com's mostly), and the traffic is almost all from Asia. I don't know how GoDaddy does with regular english keyword domains.

I'll hopefully clarify a few things with this post:

Who pays the best in the industry and that I recommend:

1. Voodoo.com - by far.

2. Domainsponsor.com

3. Bodis.com

Those are the main 3 I use for making money.

Other tested parking companies: ( don't use really at all)

1. Namedrive.com
2. Sedo.com
3. theparkingplace.com
4. Parked.com ( no longer around-merged)

Why am I able to make great money off hand regs while other people suffer?

The bottom line is: Keywords

Make sure your picking the best keyword possible for your domain name. Understand that you will most likely make 15% of the keyword value in revenue.

Example: Education can pay $50.00 a click . At 15% you would make $7.50 per click. Now the parking company is going to take a share of that as well and depending on which one you go with will decide how much you make.

I know that Voodoo gives you 95% of the revenues. I have not found anyone who will match this.

Domainsponsor will pay you anywhere from 15% - 85%. This depends on a variety of factors.

Bodis: Im not sure of the payouts with them but they are not anywhere near what Voodoo or Domainsponsor payout. However they have a way of optimizing other domains that don't get great C.T.R on those others.

Please understand this is my opinion based on the 12,000+ domains that's been tested with these companies.

Keyword obviously is important on how much your domain can earn, but keyword alone cannot bring traffic to your domains.

If you're talking about your "fcaatexplorer" domain for instance, this gets the traffic because it is a typo of a very high profile Education site and not because of the keyword you've chosen.

SE's will never rank parked pages, so keywords will become irrelevant as a result, but if your domain gets traffic thro another source then obviously a high paying keyword will make all the difference as how much or how little your site will make.
