Overture with extension accuracy

Can any one comment on the accuracy of overture with extension results?

For example if a name had the following results:

May: 570
June: 1080
December: 585

Would you be able to conclude that the name genuinely has an OVT result of at least 500? The ovt with out extension for the term is 200,000.

Well yeah,it has at least 570...but to prospective buyers, it would be more accurate to say it has a 3-month average OVT of 745.
Even though OVT scores raise and lower,and in some cases disappear,the traffic usually remains.I have a domain whose OVT scores for the last 3 months are 1064,1259,and now 666-however the traffic remained exactly the same through the 3 months.

However, those #'s can be fakeable, so don't rely completely on overture for buying info.

Numbers can be faked but that seems like a high enough number to be legit, usually faked is in the ovt with ext 25 to 50 not 500 IMO

Thanks for all the info. I am in fact asking because I am negotiating the purchase of a name with those overture numbers. So I thought I’d get your opinion on the reliability of overture. The seller hasn’t mentioned the overture to me, its just some thing I have kept track of as I have been interested in the name for a while.

Also can you give me an idea of the traffic that can be expected from the name given these overture results?

Some domains without overture will provide a high traffic rate too. It depends...Some OVT domains have no traffic. So beware.

I have a couple of these & drives me nuts wondering where the hits come from. Not in the referer sense but how the link to the parking page as found.
