Overture/Extension Results with Dashes

I am considering purchasing a myspace typo domain name that has a "dash" from a gentleman who has made me a counter offer. The domain name xxxx-xxxx.com shows an overture score of 28,374 with the extension, but can one rely on overture results for domains that include a "dash"? I am hopeful that some of you may have had some experience with domains + dashes.

Any input would be appreciated.

I always recommend people, to refrain from hyphenated domains for the following reasons.

- It is difficult to remember and also is long.

- The value goes down drastically.

If you look around on namebio.com the name 1-800-something?.com sold for 1k. Their is no reason not to like hyphen names. They are actually easier to remember in my opinion.
