Overture / search typein question.

I have found a 2 word domain with xxxx aaaabbbb.com typeins. The aaaa-bbbb.com is available.
My question:
When I input aaaa-bbbb.com in overture I get back xxx aaaa bbbb.com. Does that imply that the aaaa-bbbb.com wil receive direct hits?

No! overture just see seach results no connection with type ins. But a domain with overture hits will surely have bigger potential to get type ins instead of one with none.

Just think of a hyphen as a space when it comes to searches. If your getting results WITH the hyphen, somebody must be typing it in.

Been trying to make sense of this but in many ways search engines confuse me.
Guess it comes to plop down the 8 bucks,throw it up & see what happens. Not looking for PPC but point traffic to an existing site.

Google wade pottery = 52,900 results
Google wade-pottery = 2,710 results
Google pottery barn = 499,000 results
Google pottery-barn = 397,000 results
Google pottery barn.com = 850 results
Google pottery-barn.com = 1 result; pottery-barn.com/
Google potterybarn.com = 1 result; potterybarn.com/
This makes absolutely no sense to me but then gettin old and da brain aint what it usta wuz.

Ding, ah I now see the light -- pottery-barn is just like "pottery barn"
--Damn it-- "pottery barn" = 350,000 results. and "pottery barn.com" = 344 results I give up!

The only way to get accurate traffic figures is to host it up, IMHO.
Sounds to me like your $8 registration investment here may be worth the incremental value for the potential (targeted) traffic you're looking for, and a relatively inexpensive way to find out for sure, in my view.
