Overture results be all to end all?

Hey guys,

How important is Overture if a term is indexed all over the place?
The domain I want to reg has a lot of " " Google results but no Overture.
It's a fairly common term though. Would be good for credit card agencies.

Any advice appreciated.

Google doesn't matter. All that it is showing is terms that are inside some site. "they potato" will give you results, but don't waste your time registering theypotato.com.

Overture gives you an idea if people are actually searching for a term.

Gives an IDEA but it does not guarantee visits. For example, I have transformationstory.com. 3050 monthly ovt for 'transformation story' for May. No type-ins.

It can give you some idea but is still a 'crap shoot' unless there is varifiable type ins with ext.

I own a name dodgexxxyyy.com (3 words). The 3 words have an OVT of 2070, dodgexxxyyy has zero and dodgexxxyyy.com has zero. It gets about 7 uniques/day at Sedo and a click thru rate of about 30%. Go figure.

I have another xxxxpoker.com where xxxx has OVT of 350,000+ and y'all know poker OVT, xxxx poker = 0, xxxxpoker = 0 and xxxxpoker.com = 0. Gets about 10 uniques/day but no click thrus. ?????

We are all gamblers at heart.

Nope but close. I fully expect a letter at some point on this one. If/when I will freely let it go. My saving grace may be such a little bit that who cares + most clicks I expect go to dealers.
