.mobi Out of the 15 Nominees for a Webby Award In the Mobile Category Only 3 Use .Mobi

I am a little disappointed as I thought there would of been more sites using the extension. Out of the 15 official nominees for a Webby Award in the Mobile Category only 3 use the .mobi extension. Early on when mTLD was promoting it was almost like they were all going to use the extension.

Don't worry! They all have a good reason to use not the .mobi extension.

-Nobody uses a domain like this http://wap.projectrunway.mlogic3g.com/
-weather.mobi isn't available yet
-etc., etc.

Yes, I was also disappointed to see very few .mobi sites nominated. I had entered dir.mobi and eindia.mobi both for the awards and both of them did not get nominated. They however made dir.mobi as "offical honorees" site, link below:

By that date the mTLD was only 4 months old!!!

3 dotmobis out of 15 nominees is a very good job IMO!!!

I disagree since mTLD was an official sponsor and supporter of the Webbys this year. All mobile entries should of had to use a .mobi. This only further seperates the argument the .mobi is not necessary and needed for the mobile web.

I am a .mobi supporter and it seems that since they have still been hording names, not releasing new premium names, etc, they are just damaging the extension more then anything else.
