they should tell you why your account is limited, and if you can't find it, ask them.

if you're just starting out with domaining and you refuse to use paypal, then you're going to be cutting yourself off from a lot of transactions.

another payment processor you could look into is moneybookers.

See if you can verify the account, that should help with any limitations on it

Paypal Sucks!! >:(
Paypal and ebay are some of the shadiest companies online. Check out paypalsucks.com for verification. I know exactly what is going on with your account and getting verified will not help. Also a phone call won't make any difference. You need to jump through every hoop that they have set out for you, and they really don't care if you do or don't, but if you do, you will already be on thin ice.

When your account gets limited this way, it means that you can accept Paypal payments from someone else or a parking company or whoever, but you are not allowed to withdraw the funds or spend them in any way. Basically the money is locked up at Paypal until you satisfy their ridiculous demands. Are they making you verify that you have landline telephone service, and a landline phone, before allowing you to withdraw your money? Perhaps a little deal they have with the phone company?

Anyway, that is enough with my little Paypal rant. They suck, but due to their near monopoly and especially their abusive monopoly on ebay (itself a monopoly) they are a necessity for now. Some people will think that I sound crazy, but no one I know has ever had a problem with Paypal, until they actually had a problem with it, and they all do eventually. Just please everyone on here, even those who have never had a problem with Paypal, please don't leave sums of money that you may actually need in Paypal, you are just asking for Paypal to freeze it (borrow it) for 180 days.

Hello

If you do the steps they ask for your account will be back to normal

ie your ID and a bill with your address thats matchs your paypal account.

I hope you get your account sorted $50 is $50 don't see why you should lose that when you have done nothing wrong :imho:

Sleepys is right. I've seen people say "Ohhh, they're a good company, they will NEVER freeze ME up, and steal MY money for 180 days!" Then PayPal did just that. Beware of them, and if you use them, don't keep large sums in the account, just as Sleepys said.

People normally use paypal for domaining, and if you find anything else you're doing well. Man if you're just starting out, then you better just patch it up with paypal

Has anyone tried Google Checkout?

First off stop worrying about other companies to use. Fix your issue with Paypal & get your money back. What is wrong with people that they let people/companies steal for them & act like it is nothing?

Also to be honest don't pay attention to anyone telling you Paypal is a must for domaining. If anything it is a large hassle which never protects sellers. Do NOT use it for any decent sized transactions.
