I recently got a .org domain extension, while doing a whois search I noticed that it said 'Transfer Prohibited'. What does this mean exactly, will I not be able to transfer to another host like RegisterFly.com for example or another registar? If someone is able to answer my question I would greatly appreciate it. :bah:

'Transfer Prohibited'. What does this mean exactly

It means that your registrar has locked the domain on your behalf to prevent it being "inadvertantly" transfered.

This is most probably the default setting of your account. If you ever need to push or transfer the domain you will need to unlock it first. You can usually do this via the control panel, although sometimes it is necessary to send an email request.

Thanks for your help Rikkers, the domain is registered at Enom. So I persume maybe it is possible to change through the options?
