After transfer of a domain to Network Solutions, must I wait 60 days before doing an internal push?

Hello,

If I transfer a domain from another registrar to Network Solutions, must I wait 60 days before being able to do an internal transfer (that's what they call it @ Network Solutions) to another account at Network Solutions?

P.S. NS themselves cannot answer this :)

Many Thanks,
Danny

don't think you have to wait, but you'll find out if you try.

maybe best to just transfer from registrar to registrar.

imo...

though a lot of old school domainers and end-users originally registered domains there

very few people transfer names to netsol, most of us "domainers" transfer out of netsol after winning a name that was registered/held there previously.

general rationale: because their renewal fee's are too high in comparison.

imo....

Ms Domainer too
Before transferring anything to NetSol, read

I realize this doesn't answer your question, but I'm answering the question that you NEEDED to ask but, apparently, didn't know to ask.

:)

Thanks for replying disocbull :)

Have you done this yourself?

Not exactly since I would never bring a domain into Netsol on purpose. :) What I have done is moved a domain from one account to another after snapnames caught a deleting domain for me and then created a brand new netsol account for me for the billionth time even though I already have an account ( previously created by them ). But, it's the same principle since there's a 60 day lock with new registrations just as there are with transfers.

If you want to be 100% certain and you have a philosophical objection to simply asking their tech support people the question, you can simply test it out for yourself by creating a second account for free, moving the domain there, and then moving it back to your original account.

Bear in mind that netsol's domain push process is different than most in that the receiving account has to initiate the request. Once you submit the request, you'll find that netsol will generate an invoice with two items: 1) the transfer fee for moving the domain from one account to another which is $0 and 2) a $37 charge for an additional year of registration. You can just remove #2 and the transfer will be free. If you stay with netsol you will find that they will try to sucker you into paying for things you haven't requested at every opportunity. My advice to you would be to mark the 60th day on your calendar and transfer your domain elsewhere the minute you get the chance. Cheers.

Also, if you're not careful, they may try to STEAL your name, especially a pricey aftermarket or high-traffic domains.
