.org domain dropped but shows as taken

A .org I want dropped tonight, but it shows as taken in all registrars, but has no whois.
Anyone know when the .org database refreshes this?

thank you but i didn't find an answer there.
the problem is the domain is supposed to have dropped, but all registrars show it as taken.
i presume it is actually dropped but somehow its not showing, since the whois is empty for it.

Whois lookup and Domain name search

Look it up.
If it shows a registrant, then it dropped and someone else got it.
If it shows no registrant, than it's available.

Right it shows no record on domaintools.com

But it still shows as taken.
My point is that it dropped today, has no whois record, but shows as taken on every registrar search.

I searched on pir.org and it says it's available..
Still no dice on registrars..

An example domain is slova.org which dropped today.

If i'm not mistaken, slova.org & the rest of today's / yesterday's drops will become available for registration again in approx 8 1/2 hrs from now. PIR puts a weird blank / avail status right before releasing .org's.

That's absolutely correct. Every time I'm looking at the .org drops the evening before their drop date, they show as "Not Found" in the WHOIS but don't actually drop until some hours later. After that, you can register them at any registrar.
