I have hundreds of domains and would like to have a hosting plan that would allow each domain to have its own unique landing page....I don't want to use the "fowarding" feature at the registrar level where I'd need to manually configure each domain's name-servers... I would like to have a situation where I can change the name-server info at the registrar using their "Bulk Edit" feature. What would be the best solution for me in terms of hosting? Would appreciate any helpful input.

Get a dedicated server and then you can get cPanel/WHM and custom nameservers so that you can use ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com to configure all of your domains. I would suggest getting a managed dedicated server because I would assume that you wouldn't be a server admin so that would help you greatly. A good web hosting company that I use that also has dedicated servers is A Small Orange and I would recommend that you use them but if not try searching around webhostingtalk.

Mike could you explain more why a reseller plan can't support hundreds domains please. Thanks.

Well for one thing managing 100s of domains using the WHM interface can be a little tricky and with 100s of domains comes a huge amount of bandwith and space that will be used because he also wants a unique landing page for each one. Also, a shared server has its limits because there must be his hundreds of domains and another couple of hundred on a server and even a dual xeon has a limit to what it can hold and process.

I understand the limits to handle hundreds and hundreds domains. But to manage the domains, I think it's possible to write some scripts to handle them. Anyway, I agree, take a dedicated server or even maybe a VPS.

Yeah even a VPS would be good too.

I havn't dealt w/ a reseller that has hundreds of domains on it, but I don't see why it can't be done. www.optikhosting.com - We allow unlimited domains on our resellers. PM me if you have any questions.

Have a great day!

Thank you guys for the advice; I truly appreciate it. I'd likely go with the dedicated server option. The links to the webhostingtalk forum were really helpful...thanks hotrod12.

Why can't reseller Hosting support Hundreds of Domains ,after most of the Freebie & cheap webhosts do it all time
I use an excellent Hosting Package (Linux Royal ,obtained from a NPer Royalty or RoyaltyHosting.com) that allows unlimited Domains for some of my clients.
If you only want one landing page per domain I don't see where Bandwidth issues will arise unless you start getting lots of traffic .By that time you could then afford to get a dedicated server.

Yeah that is the free hosts and such. He is running a business here and stuffing hundreds of domains on a reseller would work but if you are running a business then you can afford then extra room of a server.
