What are your thoughts on .online domains?
It's very generic and not as ugly as .xyz for example, so that's a plus - but perhaps a little too long to have any success...
Plus most good names are either unavailable or premium...

.US domains.US domains
Can't help myself, still reggin' NC $0.88 .ONLINEs. Decided that I'll spend max $200 in total for these. Mainly because I 94.5% (yup, just calculated...) hand reg my domains, and you just can't hand reg high search volume keywords in .COM. So I'm really having a great time (domainers... WTF) reggin' my .ONLINEs.

Didnt you register Finnish words?

Hmm, not especially :) Got two Finnish .ONLINEs:

kulta (gold)
hopea (silver)
Didnt you register because you think it will not become popular in Finland?
In The Netherlands a domain like bloemen.online (Dutch variant of flowers.online) was gone in the pre-registry. I noticed that the Finnish versions of flower.online and flowers.online are still available.
Could mean that .online is not popular in Finland......or flowers are not popular :guilty:

Hmm, you must have misunderstood what I meant :) What I meant was that if a TLD is a common word in Finnish (periferic), it's a good, global TLD IMO. .ONLINE works great in Finnish but I wouldn't reg even the top kws still... Except kulta & hopea which I have dev plans for. And I would have reg'd laina.online (loan.online) if it would've been available.

Take kukka dot online. It's the one you want. The plural (kukat) doesn't work that well. But remember, there's ~5 million people in .FI, so it's not a slam dunk in anyway.... Let me know if you take it (go ahead), if you don't I will. Nice name all and all.

Well, my Finnish isnt good enough to try and sell it outbound. Auction would be the only option for me.
So you can take it.
netherlands has 17 million people. Bloemen.online was gone in preregistry and is already live with a website. Some way you should be able to get more out of it than โ‚ฌ 0,79 ($ 0.88)......

Nobody knows what the renewal fee wil be when the time is there. And a transfer is easy. And in the end you can still decide not to renew.
At the current price at NC I can register 500 names for less than $500. If out of 500 I sell only one for $500 and let the other ones expire, I have no loss.

Actually it's $530 for 500. They are $1.06 after tax/fees. So depending on where you sold the domain, you would need to sell it for closer to $600 to be free and clear on the others.

Still great to have 499 domains left if you could sell one to cover the rest.

Now if you want to renew those other 499 domains it would cost you about $17,465 to renew them. Which you would be crazy to do unless you had some gems and could sell more to cover that cost.
I know namebio doesn't have all the sales or data on sales of .online, but the total $ amount they have listed only comes out to $17,515. So you would need to match that if you want to cover the renewal cost on the 499 .onlines that you have left. Might be hard to do.

I think we are going to see alot of drops unless the renewals come down in price! There were a deal at $1 but not so much at $35. Specially if you have 100's of them.

I can renew 3 of my dot coms or 1 .online!
I have some decent .onlines but unless some sell in the next year or renewals come down, then I will drop a bunch. I think that will happen across the board with many domainers.

I really like .online but they need to bring those renewal fees down to something realistic or their numbers will decline drastically.

Renewals for .online are still low considering some of other gtlds but yes if they can manage to come down maybe around less than $20 that would be good for .online gtld.

If Radix cares about their reg numbers, they will definitely slash renewal price soon or later, i mean they definitely understand at least 50% (my own number there) of their registered domains are regged by speculators...

Looks like some of other newer gtld's have slowed down with regards to registrations. But .Online is still chugging along at the 1-2k pace per day.

I think online rocks not only for domainers but if you think about it much like .club , .online domains do have good brand appeal to the end user and can work pretty much with just about anything on the left hand side of the .online. It can be used for both brand names as well as keyword search terms for example: Let say a tyre company called BigWheels wants to get a domain and the .com//net/org/etc,, are all taken then they can easily go for BigWheels.online and it would work perfectly fine. Let say they also want to have a few microsites for ranking to drive traffic to their main site. They could even grab CheapTyres.online and rank for "cheap tyres online" I don't see any of the other new TLD's having that kind of versatility. Not even the .club domains. I mean BigWheels.club and cheaptyres.club wont have the same effect. (Even though I am a big fan of the .club domains as well)

You can also focus on products and services that are traditionaly not online. I think that gives it a nice appeal.

Absolutely dude, thats one of the reason I really like .onlines. They extremely versatile compared to most of the other new TLD's
