OK, OK, it's not really a curse, OnlineCasino.im and OnlinePoker.im are great names, I just can't seem to get many offers for them even with the sharing of $500,000 with traders. Will any of the offers this round make it through? We'll know in 24 hours...

Good luck to the traders and thanks for voting NPers!

Cheers,
Andres

I voted for Zaniest.net :) A one word dictionary .net seems the best offer up so far (for this set)

Agreed. However - I opted for Academically.org

I thought this fit the extension quite well and could be used as a college or high school portal. Info on different types of education, degrees, ect. I thought this had the best development potential in the list.

If It was my decision - this is what I would choose.

LOL, that is nuts!
I own Computers.im and it gets LOTS of traffic... :hehe:

I would definately keep the .im's.

There are no domains that stand out apart from the .im's in the list of domains you have been offered.

I don't think you guys understand. The .im's might be better, but they hinder the ability to receive quality trades. The OneUglyDomain.com site is about trading up to better and better quality names. For the past several rounds the .im names have been undesireable to traders for the most part. This is not about a one time deal. The greater picture is that in order to progress, you need to choose a domain that will result in better trades offered the next round.

Definitely correct Burjah :) And the .im set may be higher quality, although as I've said before I'm a bit dubious considering that I've never, ever seen a .im sale..

And whilst it seem that people like the set (considering that it's going to win for the third time now :)), I'm wondering where the quality offers are from the xx numbre of people who are voting for this set?

I think it was a mistake to spend 160 USD for renewal fees for two of the .im's. If Andres had given away all .im's for free and put the $160 up for trade, then we would be in a much better situation right now. Of course not to mention that somebody might have even offered a few bucks for the .im's before they were renewed.

Because the $160 is now lost and there is no way to recover it, the best thing Andres can do is to sell all .im's in an auction in this forum and put the money for trade.

Andres,
If you can spend 160 USD for renewal fees there is no reason to insist it is a matter of principle not to put money for trade. If the money comes from selling the current names then this should be OK. In economical terms I think they call it realization of stocks. So basically you are not putting extra money in it (unlike you have done before with the $160) but you just exchange domains with money.

I'll buy OnlineCasino.im, OnlinePoker.im, InstantMessage.im, and Wifi.im for $160 :hehe:

You hit the nail on the head. I think if the .im's win again, Andres should make a 24-hour vote on whether to KEEP the .ims or override it and let #2 win. I know the idea might piss off some ppl but c'mon, we're not gonna see any better offers until the .ims are gone. If the .ims were so good, ppl, why haven't ppl submitted better domains for them? Apx 9 months of OUD and THIS is where it is? It's time to move on.

If Andreas decides on keeping the .im ones, he should definately make a poll between the top 2, which will probably end up being academically.org and zaniest.net. I would just take off the "keep the .im set" completely because of the fact that it would just stall the voting process.

I voted academically.org due to the fact that, as domainspade said, it's usable. If you're going to continue stepping up the ladder for valuable domains I think it would be smart to step out of the .im extension into a more widely used one.

At first glance I thought HealthLoss was HairLoss. Would have voted for that in an instant. Oh well.

If he sells the .im's here at namepros and then put the money for trade he will definately get much better offers for the money. Otherwise overriding the voting and picking the #2 domain is just like starting over after 9 months.

Instead doing this why not just put oneuglydomain.org for trade and start over?

I'm serious. Just dump those domains on a namepros auction and then either take the money to compansate the renewal fees and put oneuglydomain.org for a new start or put the money for trade.

Andres, we know that you dont like losing. There are some solutions to that problem as you see. You never know how much they will go for until you put them on auction.

Yep, in all honesty (and sorry Andres!) I do think that MarcelProust's idea is best. Although then again, that would sort of go against the OUD rules/idea?

Thanks for voting guys! My OnlineCasino.im set wins again...what a shocker. D-:

It obvious that we can't continue like this since we're not going anywhere. Marcel, thanks for your idea, and I hate to do this to you, but I can't sell the names...I'm trading my way to $1 million, and I want to keep it that way.

Stay tuned for my blog update to find out what I'm going to do about this current situation...

Cheers,
Andres
