Hi,

I have a few domains just as a bit of fun, I've only ever sold 3 :td:

They are parked at sedo, one of them gets a lot of views per month, this month is at 646 views and 68 clicks - with a few days left in the month, no offers to buy though, but its made me a few $$ this month and every month for the last 18 months.

Any idea of value?

Domain is milanclothing.co.uk

it's probably worth around its revenue. but there might be some tm issues with the milan thing which could cause you trouble later on.

If i were you, I'd send an email to the people who own milanclothing.com or maybe milanclothing.net (but they're american and probably dont want the .co.uk domain anyway). Don't be too greedy, cos you wont get anywhere with that, you'll just end up making enemies and burining your bridges. I would think that the monthly revenue costs for the site and the amount of backlinks would make the site probably less than in value. On those stats, the monthly revenue would be about $10 - $20 depending on keywords competitiveness? which works out to about 10 quid a month.

Best bet is to start out offering ยฃ150 and dont accept any less than ยฃ50 - You wont be able to sell the domain to many people because there is little chance of getting good SE ranks with milanclothing.com dominating google, and there would be legal issues with using the trading name that other people would be unwilling to get into if a big company is already trading on that name.

I will doub it got lot of traffic because is not indexed into search engines, and have a PR of 0 and no alexa ranking,etc....etc.. no backlinks to it...
This is a sample of "appraisals" by folks who appears to lack proper research and/or assessments :|

This domain does gets type-in/direct navigation traffic. People who types this domain as-is to their browser's address bar.

"Milan Clothing" is actually a menswear store based in the UK. See their business address http://www.milanclothing.com/contact.asp

The .co.uk extention was also mentioned on some promotions http://www.dontstayin.com/uk/sheffield/dq/2006/aug/27/article-2512

This domain name holds a "possible" trademark issues in it.

according to their website (footer)
Code:
ยฉ 2006 Milan Clothing Limited. Milan Clothing and related marks are trademarks of Milan Clothing Ltd. All rights reserved.
Just wait for a buyer to contact you. Don't contact to sell this domain to the "company" because it will only reflect a bad faith on your part.

Good luck

1)
I assume that trying to sell to the company is too risky, because of the trademark issue, they may just file UDRP.

2)
My understanding is that revenue domains are often valued at 12-18 months revenue, but trademark issues may devalue your domain.

3)
Therefore I estimate another domainer might pay you around 6-8 times your monthly revenue?

4)
Conclusion:
If it's making you more than regfee every month, why sell it at all?

Good advice. I don't know the laws in the UK, but you may have a possible TM infringement here.
