Hello everyone. One month into this business and have racked up a little portfolio. The domains are in order.

cleats4u.com ( unrelated to this business, was writing a blog on it)
clashtoclan.com ( first one, and the worst one)
movifile.com
techtified.com
bagtee.com
cartoonbros.com

Are any of these good? Above all, is the progress somewhat decent? Also have stopped buying relentlessly and now focusing more on investing wisely based on research. Any words of advice? Also is it better to buy a domain in the hopes of quickly flipping it or should one hold it for sometime and better yet make a website out of it?

#1 If a name is available to register - 99% it's junk
#2 Stop putting to nonsense words together
#3 Forget about appraisal
#4 Ask your wife before doing anything

Stop buying. Keep learning. Don't buy another name until you can explain why these are no good.

"Quick flipping" will only ever be a hope and not something you should ever factor in to your investments.

Don't be replacing solid recognised words with your contrivances, nobody is going to remember your misspell. Yes short words always but stick to the recognised form

1000% agree. Nobody never ever needs someone's misspell.

1. So better to buy registered ones right? Also what if the domain got expired recently? Am following these on expireddomains.com
2. Yes someone told me about coherence. That's when I stopped buying domains.
3. Agreed. Each appraisal site gives a different value for domains but have seen these domains struggling to find any buyers. Thats when I found out that this is appraisal thing holds no value.
4. Waiting for one XD

Some questions if any of you are willing to answer:

Q1. I know backlinks matter alot. Have seen domains that spell nothing out but are being bid high money because they have many backlinks.
What if the domain gets expired? Does the backlinks and the domain age both get reset?

Q2. Namebio is a treasure website for getting domain sales. But it is only for paid participants. Are there any free alternatives or should I dish out the money?

Q3. Are there any other websites like nameBio that could help out a fellow domainer?

Also can any of you help me out in similar queries if I get any. Nothing of any sort except you can answer my queries on DM whenever you feel like it. Its just that I sometimes get queries on these things where I struggle to find the answer.

Links don’t matter.

The free namebio data can make you millions.

You can use Namebio for free. Some filters are unavailable but you can limit by time period and sort by price for free. Its a bit more user friendly if you’re logged in with a free account.
