Which one-character .TV is more valuable: number or letter?

Difficult to assess as it would depend on the future application. Purely from a numbers point of view I would consider that single digit numbers would be more valuable due to their scarcity.
There are only 10 single digit numbers, 0-9, whereas there are 26 letters, A-Z.

Len makes an excellent point as it relates to value. If I could have any of the above, it would probably be M.TV (my last name is Matthews) but I would carefully research TM risks beforehand.

I would say by far would be, E.tv and the reason is the e channel is so popular and this has instant branding without trademark problems.

Thanks, Jim

Can you even TM a letter of the Alphabet?

Excellent point. I guess it would depend on usage. For example if the owner were to develop a site featuring music videos he might have issues.

Otherwise, he would probably be fine. :hi:

I would grab any. Anyone that cares to buy me a name and on the house would be greatly apprciated and of course pay the yearly fees on these lol.

I'm now an uncle and be a good investment for my newphews college fund.

All kidding aside, e.tv imo is the best and its a great site. Look at the traffic and hope it continues upward.

I only dream of owning one of these gems but what's the cheapest out there to maintain or currently open?I am sure the crowd back in 2000 grabbed a few and cash up front deal.

Well a number depends on its meaning but letters has a lot of meaning. I would guess example : 8.tv would be more valuable than a.tv however I.tv seems superb. Again it depends. Personally I would take Letter.tv over any number.tv as they have bigger dev plans available.

1 char .TV will cost you at least 10k$ renewal, similar to 2 chars .TV.

With numeric domains, I see there being more possible development uses for a 2 or 3 number domain than a 1 number one in many cases. I'd imagine many people would confuse 0.tv with O.tv. On average, I'd prefer a 1 letter .tv, however it would certainly depend on the letter/number. As some previous posters have said, m.tv, e.tv, i.tv would be nice -- x.tv would be nice imho as well, as would be d.tv (and I'm sure there are some very good development applications for many of the other letters).
