so your sad because you gave people $nps for signing up for your forums... let's be honest paying people to register wont have got your forums going anyway

If the members are lost, re-install your board, and if they are people that actually use your forum, then they will re-sign up!

Think of it as clearing out the users that dont use your forums anymore

Also, Great attempt at getting free Np$... not really

I wouldnt have been mean, but saying what he has to say, and then pleading for $Nps doesnt really say much :|

You are not supposed to beg by the way
Your sig says you are tech support for a Hosting company and you don't do backup's of database before changing something
If I was one of your customers ,I would be leaving real soon and finding a hosting company that knows what they are doing.

FYI,

He's NOT hosted with us, so please rephrase your comments. Our hosting company DOES keep daily backups for resellers and shared hosting customers.

He has just been hired with us (3 days ago), and is undergoing a training period with PolurNET Communications. He has demonstrated skills in helping our customers, and hence his position with us will be solely based on experience and expertise.

Just for your information, even sometimes the most technologically-adept people forget or try to play with their luck, and these situations don't necessarily correlate with their knowledge.

Anand

Thanks for the clarification, polurnet
It did look very unusual ,him posting comments about hosting problems , with that description in his sig.

I do know all about customer support , over 30 years in IT and Electronics related industries tend to expose you to just a little bit of it.

The several years I worked in various countries for Major computer manufacturers as technical support and training didn't help.

Plus gaining the Degree in Micro-Electronic Engineering didn't provide any insight in support and training.

But I suppose I should have worked instead for a small webhosting company to learn all there is to know about providing support.

Hi Dave,

Yes, I don't mistake your or the others' interpretation of the post, but his position at PolurNET Communications has nothing to do with it, and does not reflect the views, policies or level of services we provide. That's the point I wanted to bring across, since I happened to browse this thread. We have a full-time, knowledegable and friendly staff, and we are very proud with our reputation and experience.

Best Regards,
Anand
