Older domain or new domains for search engines?

I started this service a long time ago that has people fill in some info and it generates a static page. But I let it die for about 2 years and it dropped from 10k daily to about 20 unique. It was mainly search engine traffic. My old domain name has been registered since 2000, where my new domain name is more brandable but is newly registered. Any thoughts on which would be better specifically for search engines in the first couple of months?

older domains are defently better than new, usually more links and google has recongnized(sp?) them.

SE loves older domains and believe they are enough to be good.
