domain okay... how about NOW with the UMPC landrush?

I'm still relatively new to this forum but I have to ask, now, two months later, about the possible resale value of "www.GoPC.com" with the emergence of the Ultra-Mobile PC market and the UMPC domains landrush.

I looked on Google today and not only am I still ranked #1 for the phrase "gopc" but my rank under "go pc" has moved up considerable.

Why? Because of the over 100 articles announcing MS's new Origami Project, referring to their product niche as "on the GO PC".

Many ad and news/information companies are seeking to reduct the large and heavy, bulky, non specific names, the acronym UMPC and the "high-brow" concept names into something short, simple and descriptive for the market niche. UMPC has seemed to have taken hold but the massive array of articles out there are still slow to use "umpc" and quick to use "GO PC" in the title as well as a description of the products and the market niche.

One might gather from this, especially the timing, that a solid marketing campaign around GoPC might give me what every one of us here on this forum is looking for... a high dollar domain sale.

So the question is two fold, what should I ask if I were to be approached by MS or another company seeking the www.gopc.com domain for this market and how do I go about presenting myself to whomever it might be in the first place?

I don't remember seeing gopc.com, but it's a great name even without the umpc. Have you submitted it to great domains? That will give you a price range. Based on some of the names they have listed, I'm guessing they would put yours at 20K with a reserve of 12K or in that ballpark.

Great Domains said that it was a multi-word name and it didn't fit their profile. Uh, yeah... I've also heard a series of really bad reports about Great Domains. Moniker was REALLY happy to represent it, as was Sedo. Moniker added it to their Elite Domains list and wants to take it to the Live Auction at Traffic West in May.

yes i realized that. but that was what i first thought when i saw the name.
And no i am not affiliated with the GOP.. dont really like them but dont care either way..lol
