Ive been PM'ed, went through negotiations twice with 2 different people on them buying a domain/site from me, i agree to there offer, then i get OK wait till next week and if you still have it let me know , i mean what the shit is this why make an offer on something if you don't have the damn money, makes me so mad i could scream.
I would not even consider making an offer or trying to buy something if i did not have the monies to do so i mean are people so retarded?
Crazy

Lovely username, you might be better off contacting staff about their buying practices.

I thought about that but why mess up someone i just dont understand why they would try to do so and not be able to buy it. i even went through the whole thiing with both of them and as they had been here for a bit said i would go ahead and transfer the domain before payment was received, i mean i would not normally do that but you got to figure if they have made deals and all was well and have been here for a bit, i figured i could trust them to do the right thing.

Keep in mind your potential "buyers" might be in middle school -- there are serious investors on this board, but there are also domain-kiddies as well...

This is something so many people miss at first. As did I.

I too have had the same problem. I had a decent offer that I accepted and almost immediately the other party wanted me to drop my price!! What price??? They made the offer!! I was then told they had made the offer without consulting their partner and would get back to me. Five days later after a couple of pm's from me they told me that their partner did not agree with the price. Result; No sale, time wasted, other opporunities to sell lost!

This is very true, I have had the unpleasent time of dealing with a member here who I later found out was barely 15... :td: waste of time.

The kiddies give themselves away. If in doubt - search all threads on their profile name.
You will see things like "Bargain - giveaway prices - I got to sell this stuff because I'm going back to school and need the money".

Beware !!

It can become a real issue when dealing with minors in any financial transaction.

you can leave feedback to the trade rating so that other people can be warned.

I enjoy all your posts, especially this one. This is true, plenty of lame asses out there. We just need to know who they are and do deals with straight up domainers. Its true only a dumbass would back out or after making an offer say they want a lower price.

Buying a domain is a contractual agreement. Your actions after entering it show you are either straight up or a scumbag.

I agree there are people who do this from time to time. I've dealt with similar situations as well.

As for the "kiddie" comments... I don't think you should discount members based on their age alone. While I realize you'll run into younger members who really show their immaturity, there are a lot of younger people on this forum who act very professional. I've talked to and done business with a lot of them.

At the end of the day, there are people who act unprofessional and immature regardless of age.

Deals fall through its a part of life, Move on to the next one.
As far as domain kiddies they will be the big domainers of the future dont be so haste in judging them.

I don't think they're being judged, it's just good to know with whom you're doing business.

Sure, that is true but I think the broader point here is that many minors a) lack the legal standing to complete transactions b) don't have the financial means to do so and c) have no intention of doing so. That being said, I'm all for young entrepreneurs breaking into the businesses; after all, that's how I got my start.

Some will be big, many won't & just add to the nonsense that sometiems plagues the industry.

Deals do fall through but it sounds like many times it is not for legitimate reasons. Wasting time should not be a part of the equation for people serious about domaining.
